Notary Public & Document Legalization in Thailand

    Notarial Services and Document Legalisation

Thailand does not have a "notary public" system in the same way as many Western countries. Instead, qualified lawyers who are licensed as Notarial Services Attorneys by the Lawyers Council of Thailand are authorised to certify and attest documents for use at home and abroad.

What a Notarial Services Attorney Can Do

    • Certify signatures and confirm the identity of signatories
    • Attest true copies of original documents
    • Witness and certify affidavits and declarations
    • Verify documents required by foreign authorities, universities, or embassies

    Common Uses

Notarial certification is frequently needed for overseas study applications, foreign property and business transactions, powers of attorney used abroad, and confirmation of signatures on international contracts.

    Legalisation Beyond Notarisation

Some documents must go further than notarisation. They may need to be legalised by the Legalisation Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and then by the relevant embassy, before a foreign authority will accept them. We manage this multi-step chain so your documents are accepted the first time.

    Bilingual Certification

Because our attorneys work in both Thai and English, we can certify documents and accompanying translations together, reducing delays for clients dealing with cross-border requirements.
